Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar, or UET Khuzdar is an engineering universities of Pakistan,[1] and offering Bachelor and Master degrees. Students of the institute are popularly referred to as a BUETIANs.

UET Khuzdar is a public university with the Governor of Balochistan, Pakistan as the Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor is the executive head and manages the university functions.

Location

The university is located on the outskirts of Khuzdar, known as the heart of Balochistan. The city of Khuzdar is situated on National Highway linking Pakistan, Iran and Turkey. It is at a distance of 400 km from Karachi and 300 km from Quetta, both of them being main cities of the country.

The city has an airport, near the university. The former college, now university, is constructed on the foot-hills and is spread over an area of 200 acres (0.81 km2). The clean and calm environment makes the university an ideal place for academic and research activities.

Open Merit

Only Balochistan Domicile holders can apply on open merit. Students from other provinces can apply through their province as following seat distributions Punjab = 9, NWFP =2,Sindh (Rural/Urban)=4, AJK =2, FATA =2, Northern Areas =2, Federal Capital Area =3, DAE =1

Self finance

Students from all over Pakistan can apply on a self finance basis which is PKR 350,000 per four year degree program.
